Short answer

Replit's last disclosed number is about $240 million a year, from its CEO in October 2025. It aims for $1 billion by the end of 2026, but in October 2026 its CEO said it's "not sharing ARR numbers just yet". Reported, not verified

What is Replit's revenue?

The last figure Replit itself put out is about $240M in annual sales, which CEO Amjad Masad gave Business Insider on Oct 20, 2025, a month after it announced $150M in annualized revenue with its $250M raise at a $3B valuation (Sep 10, 2025). Since then it has given a target, not a number. In its March 11, 2026 funding post ($400M at a $9B valuation), the CEO wrote that Replit was "on track to hit $1 billion in run-rate revenue by the end of 2026." On stage at TechCrunch Disrupt in October 2026, he said: "We're not sharing ARR numbers just yet."

Between October 2025 (~$240M, CEO figure) and the $1B end-of-2026 target there is no company-confirmed number. One research firm, Sacra, estimates $525M annualized in April 2026. That is a third-party estimate, not a Replit figure, so we don't use it as the answer.

Why did Replit's revenue jump?

It stopped being a coding tool for programmers and became an app builder for everyone else. Replit says annualized revenue went from about $2.8M to $150M in under a year after it launched its AI agent, which builds an app from a plain-English description (Sep 2025). In a TechCrunch StrictlyVC interview (Sep 30, 2025), the CEO credited a pivot away from professional developers toward non-technical users. The agent is sold on usage: paid plans include credits, and heavier AI work costs more.

The money is now shifting to companies. The CEO said enterprise contracts went from about 2% of revenue last year to about 15% this year, with more than half of revenue from businesses (TechCrunch, Oct 2026). The same week, he said Replit made OpenAI's models its default instead of Anthropic's, citing cost, partnership and performance.

Is Replit profitable?

It hasn't said, and the margin data points are old. In the same Business Insider piece (Oct 20, 2025), Masad called a reported ~23% gross margin for July 2025 (first reported by The Information) "not far off" and said it was improving, with enterprise margins around 80%. An investor memo seen by Business Insider put paying users at over 150,000 in June 2025, out of about 40 million total. That is why the shift to business customers matters: they are the higher-margin revenue. Gross margin is not profit, and none of this is verified.

How does Replit make money?

Subscriptions plus usage. Its pricing page (read Oct 23, 2026) lists Core at $20 a month and Pro at $100 a month, each with credits toward AI models, and custom Enterprise plans. Work beyond the credits is pay-as-you-go, which Replit calls effort-based pricing.

Can you build a business on Replit?

People do. But the tool's revenue tells you about the tool, not about the apps built with it. If you want to build a business with AI, the more useful question is what small AI products actually earn. A few in our data, with verified revenue:
